I know Saturdays are not the best day to blog especially when everyone is busy waiting in line at the liquor store getting ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s day. You may recognize this crazy couple from their video for the Ocean 100/Hot 105.5 Dream Wedding contest. By island standards now they are pretty famous. When I saw their video on youtube I know that I had to photograph this wedding! An absolutely awesome/funny/down to earth couple and the Stanley Bridge Resort will totally make my day easy. Was pretty excited to head out to the park yesterday and do some much needed outdoor shooting as it seems my camera didn’t see fresh air in months.

Just want to let everyone out there on the internet know that 2013 wedding dates are open and starting to book fast. Since moving to PEI one thing I have noticed is that many Islanders will wait until 6-8 months before their date to start researching photographers when most of the choice dates are booked well over a year in advance by those living off island. If you don’t want to miss out on your dream photographer for your dream 2013 wedding start your research now. Meet with him/her, check out their studio, ask to see a full wedding either via slideshow or an album. Don’t settle for just good enough for your wedding photographer!

I absolutely love shooting headshots in cool locations around Charlottetown. At times we forget how many little nooks and crannies we have around town to take advantage of great natural light. When Keir contacted me about photos for an upcoming project I couldn’t think of a better place to work indoors than the confederation center.

Back in 2010 when I went to Cuba with Michelle and Jason to photograph their wedding I had no idea that just a few years later we would be in my studio with their little man destroying a perfectly good cake. Sure the studio may be a bit of a mess afterwards but on the bright side it smells absolutely delicious.

I think my favorite time of the year for weddings is always New Years Eve. Sure the weather wasn’t very wintery but we all made the best of it. Couldn’t imagine a better couple to close out a great wedding year with!

I couldn’t help but gush over Danielle and Dan’s little one when she came into the studio. Being a new dad it really made me think about how fast they really do grow up! It seems like yesterday that Duncan was that size. Enjoy every day guys!

This awesome group of friends getting ready to graduate from UPEI and head off in their own directions wanted a fun session to create some awesome memories of their time on the island. They came into the studio last night for some grad shots and even though they only had 2 gowns I made sure we got a group shot wearing those as well!
